Newport Beach

Fun in the Sun

When it comes to things to do in Newport Beach, the beaches reign supreme. Newport is home to some of the most pristine beaches in California. You can go for a dip in the ocean or just get some Vitamin D.

Fancy some s’mores? Fire rings are available for roasting marshmallows right on the beach. Beachside playgrounds make Newport Beach great for families.

Beach Sports

You don’t need to look far and wide for things to do in Newport Beach. The Wedge is a well-known surfing spot that consistently has some great waves. Love the water but don’t surf? You can also kayak, body surf and paddleboard here.

In case you love spending time on the land more than in the water, Newport has you covered. Upper Newport Bay Beach has miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Campsites are available in the stunning Crystal Cove State Park, overlooking the Pelican Hills Golf Club and the Pacific Ocean.

The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove

Pull up a beach chair at this vintage cottage, located right on the Newport coast. The Beachcomber serves classic California fare with a well-stocked bar. Grab a cocktail and be serenaded by the sound of the waves. Top off date night with a gondola ride through the Newport Canals.

The Dock

Step off the boat and right into The Dock, Newport’s favorite American cuisine. Enjoy dinner and drinks on the water on The Dock’s patio. It’s  also open for Sunday Brunch with a unique blend of seasonal flavors and fresh seafood.

Newport Beach Shopping Sprees

Shopping is one of our favorite things to do in Newport Beach. Shopping center Fashion Island offers a premium blend of designer shops and boutiques. Neighborhoods all over Newport Beach –– like Corona Del Mar and Balboa Island –– have droves of charming boutiques where you find unique gifts for your loved ones (or yourself!).

The many farmer’s markets all over Newport bring locals and visitors to the streets regularly. While supporting local businesses, you’ll find unparalleled farm-fresh produce, fresh-cut flowers, and local delicacies.

Getting to Newport Beach

From Los Angeles, Newport is a cool 90-minute drive on California’s infamous freeways. A better way to enjoy the trip is to rent a luxury yacht, which drops you off right in the middle of Newport Beach’s beautiful coast. You’ll enjoy five-star service (including bar service) while enjoying the sight of the open water in the backdrop.

You’ll glide into the huge harbor, sailing between luxury waterfront houses and yachts. Drop anchor right at one of the restaurants and enjoy lunch without even leaving the dock.
